IAN CHIPCHASE - DIRECTOR & SOLICITOR - ACCREDITED SPECIALIST IN PERSONAL INJURY LAW

Ian has specialised in dispute resolution, particularly relating to insurance disputes for the past 30 years.  He puts this experience into practice for insurance disputes and workers compensation claims as well as providing advice on all other areas of Personal injury Law.

His colleagues describe him as at good listener and someone with great attention to detail. With all of his experience, Ian is often regarded as a legal guru by his peers.

Ian was admitted as a Solicitor in England in 1973 and worked in London for the Port of London Authority for four years mainly in commercial, industrial and insurance disputes.

In 1977 Ian moved to Australia and was admitted as a Solicitor in NSW. He worked as a partner in private legal practices in Sydney and became a Director of Stacks/Goudkamp on 1 July 2003.

He is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (formerly known as Australian Plaintiffs Lawyers Association), the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (UK), the American Trial Lawyers Association, the European Plaintiff Lawyers Association (PEOPIL) and the Medico-Legal Society of NSW.

When he is not practicing law, he enjoys swimming, hiking and skiing. Ian can often be seen on weekends, on his boat, puttering around Sydney harbour.
